{"id":370764,"date":"2014-10-29T09:00:10","date_gmt":"2014-10-29T13:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/?p=71234"},"modified":"2024-01-06T03:12:30","modified_gmt":"2024-01-06T03:12:30","slug":"formula-1-cars-2015-goodwood-members-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/formula-1-cars-2015-goodwood-members-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodwood Members&#8217; Meeting (2015) &#8211; Formula 1 Cars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Grand Prix racing\u2019s most visually distinctive period will be featured at the 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting, scheduled for 21-22 March 2015 at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex, England.<\/p>\n<p>From 1971 until early 1976, Formula 1 cars were fitted with increasingly outlandish airboxes, towering high above the drivers\u2019 heads, and more than 25 models from this innovative and extravagant era will grace the Goodwood Motor Circuit at the Members\u2019 Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>A pair of ex-Niki Lauda Ferraris \u2013 a 312T driven by the Austrian on the way to his maiden F1 world title in 1975 and a 312B3, an example of which helped him to his first grand prix victory the previous year \u2013 will be driven around the fabled 2.4-mile circuit on each day.<\/p>\n<p>Lotus will also be well represented at the 2015 Goodwood Members Meeting, with a pair of 72s raced by Emerson Fittipaldi and Ronnie Peterson, resplendent in their iconic black-and-gold liveries, joined by a 76 campaigned by the Super Swede to the car\u2019s only finish in Germany in 1974.<\/p>\n<p>A pair of ex-Peterson Marches \u2013 the experimental 721X and a 711 that was also raced by Le Mans legend Henri Pescarolo in period \u2013 have been confirmed to attend, as have McLarens and Tyrrells campaigned by, respectively, Peter Revson and Patrick Depailler, and the Shadow DN1 that was used by Graham Hill\u2019s eponymous team in 1973.<\/p>\n<p>Rarities such as the world\u2019s only Amon AF101, as raced by Chris Amon in 1974, an ex-Tim Schenken Trojan T103-1 in which the Australian secured a pair of top-10 finishes in GPs the same year, and the Token RJ02 in which Tom Pryce made his F1 debut, will also take part.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for the 73rd Members\u2019 Meeting are now available to Members of all Goodwood Clubs and those on the waiting list for the Goodwood Road Racing Club.
