This year&#8217;s battle in the Ardennes featured a combined Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss Trophy race that saw a spectacular 53-car field, with 14 automotive marques spanning Allard to Willment.<\/p>\n<p>Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen enjoyed a stellar 2015 Spa Six Hours weekend, with victory in the Stirling Moss Trophy Pre-1961 element of Motor Racing Legends\u2019 Belgian showpiece in the Demon Tweeks Motorsport Lister-Jaguar Knobbly over the fabulous Ferrari 246 Dino of Gregor Fiske and Bobby Verdon-Roe opening the modern GT racers\u2019 joint account on the world\u2019s favourite circuit.<\/p>\n<p>The concurrent Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy race for Pre-1956 sportscars was yet closer fought, and had a sting in its tail when Patrick Blakeney-Edwards &#8212; in Fred Wakeman\u2019s Cooper-Jaguar T38 &#8212; ambushed long-time leader Chris Ward\u2019s Jaguar C-type one-third of the way round the final lap to repeat 2014&#8217;s win.<\/p>\n<p>The line-up for the annual \u2018Battle of the Ardennes\u2019 was magnificent, 53 cars representing 15 marques gracing proceedings. It was good to see three Cadillac V8-engined Allard J2s in the field, p\u00e9re-et-fils Tim and Oliver Llewellyn and Canadians Bob Francis\/John Thompson (whose car contested the \u201953 Goodwood 9-Hours with Tony Page) joining Till Bechtolsheimer, whose monster sadly expired in practice.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/spa-six-hours-2014-woodcote-trophy-picture-gallery\/\">2014<\/a>, photographer Jurrie Vanhalle also documented the Spa Six Hours 2015 Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss Trophy combination race with the following 232 images.
