2003 Saleen S7 Coupe sold for $387,750<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Russo and Steele Scottsdale 2016 auction was held January 27-31 in Scottsdale, Arizona, resulting in $20.7 million in total sales and a 72 percent sell-through rate. The auction company\u2019s overall Scottsdale numbers increased eleven percent over 2015, including a seven-figure improvement in sales. The company also reported increases in attendance during this year’s event.<\/p>\n

Russo and Steele CEO Drew Alcazar said, \u201cIt is very clear that the impressive increases we demonstrated in Scottsdale this year show the vigor and vitality of our segment within the current collector car marketplace. This year, we didn\u2019t rely on a multitude of multi-million dollar and\/or high profile celebrity type cars with stories attached, yet we still produced positive numbers universally across the board, which is something only Russo and Steele achieved during this year\u2019s events.”<\/p>\n

With 520 lots sold on 723 lots offered, the top result at the 2016 Russo and Steele Scottsdale sale went to the 2003 Saleen S7 Coupe that sold for $387,750, followed by the 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS that brought $374,000 and the 2005 Ford GT that made $341,000.<\/p>\n

Other notable results included the last-of-the-breed, 25th Anniversary edition 1990 Lamborghini Countach that sold for $275,000, a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Convertible at $308,000, the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 the hammered for $324,500 and a 1988 Ferrari Testarossa that fetched $181,500.<\/p>\n
