Flat-Four Power<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Hoonigan YouTube channel<\/a> gives us a deep look into Travis Pastrana’s Gymkhana Subaru WRX STI<\/strong>. The Gymkhana YouTube series was previously centered around racecar driver Ken Block, but they have recently made the decision to let Pastrana take the wheel of the series.<\/p>\n

This Subaru<\/a> – despite looking like an entirely new car – remains as true to the Subaru brand as possible. The iconic flat-four engine has been bored and stroked to 2.3L allowing for the block to produce a whopping 862 horsepower thanks to its giant turbo, billet heads, crankshaft, and a billet block.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lots of time can be lost in shifting (Travis is an accoladed hill-climb racer), so this car has been married to a six-speed Sadev sequential transmission<\/strong> to bang through as many gears as possible in a short amount of time. If you’ve seen the previous Gymkhana episodes with Ken Block in his Mustang, know that this car shares the same transmission.<\/p>\n

True to Pastrana’s hill-climbing heritage, this car has been completely decked out in a wide-body kit and more fins than you can count for maximum downforce.<\/p>\n
