{"id":385171,"date":"2020-12-16T14:09:16","date_gmt":"2020-12-16T19:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=385171"},"modified":"2024-03-13T23:33:58","modified_gmt":"2024-03-13T23:33:58","slug":"the-lamborghini-sc20-is-a-759-horsepower-speedster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/the-lamborghini-sc20-is-a-759-horsepower-speedster\/","title":{"rendered":"The Lamborghini SC20 Is A 759 Horsepower Speedster"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Need For Speedster<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?s=lamborghini\">Lamborghini<\/a> has a new model to add to the speedster ranks along with the previous SC18 and Essenza SCV12. <strong>The new Lamborghini SC20 is a 759 Horsepower Speedster based on the Aventador SVJ.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We covered some offical photos of this machine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/lamborghini-sc-instagram-page-shows-new-speedster\/\">spotted in testing at the track a few months back<\/a>, but Lambo has officially pulled the curtain and spilled the beans on the exact details about this car.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-385181 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lamborghini-sc20_100774269_h.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1227\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although this is a new beast entirely, the new SC20 is very closely based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/video-lamborghini-aventador-svj-hotlap-at-lausitzring\/\">Aventador SVJ<\/a> when you pull back the visual layers. <strong>This car contains the same naturally aspirated 6.5L V-12 found in the SVJ and produces identical power numbers to it as well (759 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-385193 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lamborghini-sc20_100774275_h.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1383\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The car is entirely constructed out of carbon fiber<\/strong> (Lamborghini wants this car to be as track-oriented as possible) and the brand put a hard focus on aerodynamic features all around the car to minimize drag and maximize downforce to bump up those lap times. The aero elements take notes from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topspeed.com\/cars\/lamborghini\/2019-lamborghini-hurac-n-gt3-evo-ar182555.html\">Huracan GT3 Evo<\/a> and the Essenza SCV12 and packages them into this Aventador SVJ-like speedster.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-385185 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lamborghini-sc20_100774274_h.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1061\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The inside of this car sees a pleasant combination of carbon fiber and Alcantara (oh, how adventurous for Lamborghini). The door, center console, dash, seat frames, and wheel are all carbon fiber and a good amount of Alcantara wraps the rest of the cockpit with accented colors adorning the seats, dash and rear of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-385183 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/lamborghini-sc20_100774258_h.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>As of the time of writing, Lamborghini hasn&#8217;t confirmed if this car will even see a full production<\/strong>, so total unit numbers are completely unknown for the time being.
