And, finally, it&#8217;s here.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368122\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-16.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brabhamautomotive.com\/news\/brabham-bt62r-the-road-car-with-a-racing-heart\/\">Brabham BT62R<\/a> shares the same engine as its brothers, a naturally aspirated 5.4 V8 producing 700 HP and 492 lbs-ft of torque.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368114\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-8.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It also shares the same base chassis as the track and competition versions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368111\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-5.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1334\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Everything else is set up to be much more friendly for road use, however. The 6-speed sequential transmission has had its gearing set to be much more road-friendly and is operated with a paddle shifter system.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368110\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-4.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1324\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An interesting part of the transmission is that it can be operated in a clutchless mode for instant changes on the track, but a clutch pedal is fitted to the road car for smoother operation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368118\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-12.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The suspension is electronically controlled and has a variety of modes from public road use to full-on track spec.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368112\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-6.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A new exhaust system is fitted to reduce noise and bring the car within noise legality rules.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368109\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-3.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Air conditioning is fitted for the first time, and the windshield can also be heated for colder days.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368108\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-1.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A new front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear wing come together to allow for road use but retain as much downforce as the BT62 track car.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368117\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-11.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>New padded carbon fiber shell seats, finished in leather or alcantara, are bespoke to the road car.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-368115\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Brabham-BT62R-9.jpg\" alt=\"Brabham BT62R\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The wheels are shod in Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport road tires for the best grip possible &#8220;from the factory.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>No pricing has been announced, however there will be two specifications.
