{"id":385390,"date":"2020-09-25T09:09:52","date_gmt":"2020-09-25T13:09:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=369010"},"modified":"2024-11-10T02:14:57","modified_gmt":"2024-11-10T02:14:57","slug":"the-ferrari-omologata-is-a-one-off-masterpiece","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/the-ferrari-omologata-is-a-one-off-masterpiece\/","title":{"rendered":"2020 Ferrari Omologata"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Ferrari Omologata<\/h2>\n<p>The Prancing Horse has made some fantastic one-off cars, but the latest, <strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/category\/brand\/ferrari\/\">Ferrari<\/a> Omologata<\/strong>, is a real gem. <strong>The car took two years to create.<\/strong> It is based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/meet-ferrari-812-superfast\/\">812 Superfast<\/a>, but there&#8217;s quite a lot of this vehicle that&#8217;s unique.<\/p>\n<p>The car has totally a bespoke aluminum body that&#8217;s inspired by Ferrari&#8217;s GT race cars and modern architecture. This car is designed to be driven on the road and on the racetrack. The car was designed to <strong>&#8220;exploit the proportions of the potent, mid-front layout to deliver a very sleek design defined by smooth volumes and undulating reflections,&#8221;<\/strong> according to the company.<\/p>\n<p>There are an oval grille and rounder, more sensuous curves than the standard 812 Superfast. The car also gets a special livery and a newly developed shade of red. There&#8217;s also plenty of carbon fiber. The result is a car that looks <strong>both classic and futuristic somehow at the same time.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Inside the car, you&#8217;ll find electric blue leather and Jeans Aunde fabric seats. There are also a four-point racing harnesses. These elements stand out against the otherwise black interior.<\/p>\n<p>Under the goodly hood is a <strong>6.5-liter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/category\/brand\/ferrari\/ferrari-groups\/ferrari-engine\/v12-ferrari\/\">V12<\/a> engine<\/strong>. It&#8217;s the same as the 812 Superfast, but Ferrar hasn&#8217;t said if the car received a bump in either horsepower or torque. If the engine remains untouched, it will produce 789 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. That would allow the car to do a 0-62 mph run in 2.9 seconds and top out at 211 mph.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s no word on price, and it will probably stay that way.
