The car will feature <strong>a new blue and silver livery<\/strong> when it makes it trip to the Goodwood Motor Circuit to try and break the record there during the Goodwood SpeedWeek, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/carbuzz.com\/news\/volkswagens-electric-race-car-gets-a-brand-new-look\">CarBuzz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This will be a departure from the grey, blue, and red livery the car has worn up to this point. This change in livery, according to VW, <strong>&#8220;serves as an identifying characteristic for Volkswagen Motorsport and Volkswagen R.&#8221;<\/strong> the ID.R will be showcased alongside the new ID.3, which will have a similar livery.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_369414\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-369414\" style=\"width: 840px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/755707.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-369414 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/755707.jpg\" alt=\"Volkswagen ID.R and ID.3\" width=\"840\" height=\"560\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-369414\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">VW ID.R and ID.3 side by side.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The ID.R, for those unfamiliar, is one of VW&#8217;s most impressive machines to date. The prototype race car has set five records on three continents.
