The car looks similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/bmw-reveals-the-2021-m3-and-m4\/\">the new M4 that recently debuted<\/a>. The convertible version of the car will offer some notable updates over the outgoing model. <strong>The car now has a soft-top instead of a hardtop, which was done to dramatically reduce weight.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2020\/09\/2021-bmw-4-series-convertible-lands-in-u-s-priced-from-51300\/\">Carscoops<\/a>, the new 4-Series Convertible&#8217;s new roof not only reduces weight but it also provides an increase to the cargo space, a boon for any convertible car. The soft-top features flush-fitting glass rear window, multiple layers of insulation for climate control and sound deadening, and a fabric cover. It can be had in the regular black color or what BMW is calling Moonlight black. Moonlight black has a subtle metallic shimmer to it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The new top can be opened or closed in just 18 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph.<\/strong> Cargo space for the car went up by 1.2 cubic feet and totals nine cubic feet.<\/p>\n<p>The car also gets that fugly new 4-Series look with the big buck-toothed grin of a grille and curvy and creased bodywork. The engines offered are the same as they are in the new 4-Series coupe.<\/p>\n<p>You have a <strong>2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque<\/strong>. There&#8217;s also the <strong>3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque<\/strong>. Both engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and some trim levels get the M Sport rear differential as standard.<\/p>\n<p>Pricing for the 4-Series Convertible starts at <strong>$53,100<\/strong> and goes up from there.
