Say Goodbye to the W12<\/h2>\n

Bentley is known for its big engines and huge heavy cars that are ultra-luxurious. Well, they will continue to be heavy and ultra-luxurious, but according to EVO<\/a>, the company will go all-electric as early as 2030<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The company’s first electric-only model is set for 2025<\/strong>, but Bentley<\/a> has yet to say exactly when that model will come. That would leave only five years for it to make the transition.<\/p>\n

The current model range consists of the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga. Bentley will make plug-in hybrid versions of these cars soon<\/strong> and that will help catapult the brand towards full electrification.<\/p>\n

These plug-in hybrid powertrains will likely come from the Porsche Panamera. The car has a shared MSB platform so it only makes sense for the brand to do that.<\/p>\n

According to EVO, after 2026, Bentley will have only full-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles<\/strong>, which would put an end to the W12 engine line that has been in all of its current models.<\/p>\n
