SSC had claimed to set a new production-car land-speed record of 316.11 mph on Oct. 10, but video footage of the record attempt was soon questioned by multiple YouTubers as they speculated the legitimacy of the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/ssc-tuataras-331-mph-record-invalidated-due-to-misleading-video\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> SSC Tuatara\u2019s<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> record-setting video.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SSC CEO Jerod Shelby came to the realization released in a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BrclO1wG2Y8&amp;ab_channel=SSCNorthAmerica\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">YouTube video on October 30th<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, that there was no way they could \u201csalvage\u201d the first record attempt, \u201cno matter what we do, it\u2019s always going to have a stain on it.\u201d. Alas, a second attempt was put in motion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>In a video released yesterday, Youtuber &#8211; Robert Mitchell discussed his experience at the second record attempt held in Florida.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> As he depicts in his<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Env-uFvSydI&amp;feature=emb_title&amp;ab_channel=RobertMitchell\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 30-minute video<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, SSC had fastened five separate GPS\/Speed recording devices in the Tuatara to prove the factual accuracy of the record attempt.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load\" title=\"SSC Tuatara Second Record Attempt! YouTubers, Robert Mitchell, Shmee150, and Misha Charoudin were responsible for \u201cdebunking\u201d the initial record attempt footage, so SSC wanted to have as much transparency as possible for the second record attempt by inviting them.
