The factory churns out 20,000 vehicles annually, and Daimler plans to wind down production numbers to a full-stop.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes will still retain their Sao Bernardo do Campo plant where large industrial trucks are manufactured, but with the pandemic causing a major loss in Brazil&#8217;s sales for premium level models, there isn&#8217;t much hope for this facility to remain in business as their main focus at this plant is passenger cars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe economic situation in Brazil has been difficult for many years and was aggravated by the covid-19 pandemic, which caused a significant drop in premium car sales,\u201d said J.
