During a series of quarter-mile drag races, CarWow put a Ferrari 488 Pista, McLaren 720S<\/a>, and an Lamborghini Aventador SV against each other to see which would come out on top. On paper, these three cars should be it evenly matched as they share a lot of similarities when it comes to price, mid-engine layout, and horsepower.<\/p>\n

Powerwise, the Lamborghini Aventador SV<\/a> has the advantage when it comes to power output. It’s naturally-aspirated 6.5L V12 makes 750hp and 690Nm of torque. However, it tips the scales at 1,570kg which could put it in a disadvantage.\u00a0The McLaren 720S, as its name suggests, has a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 that also develops 720 hp and 770Nm while weighing 1,420kg. The Ferrari 488 Pista<\/a> comes with a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces a 720hp and 770Nm of torque while weighing only 1,390kg, making it the lightest of the three.<\/p>\n
