It can be downright nerve-racking when thundering down a highway on an ultra-capable machine at speeds of over 200 mph on your own. But the whole experience can be quite different if there’s an experienced driver sitting behind the wheels as it gives us a glimpse of how thrilling speed can be.<\/p>\n
AutoTopNL<\/a>, a Netherlands-based auto journalist, posted a video on YouTube where they pushed a Ferrari 812 Superfast<\/a> to its limits on Autobahn. This German highway is notorious for being one of the few highways in the world where there is no speed limit. The featured Ferrari 812 Superfast is fitted with a full Novitec exhaust system which allows its naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 engine to produce up to 840 hp and 554 lb-ft of torque.<\/p>\n AutoTopNL managed to get the car up to 218 mph on the Autobahn which is impressive for a supercar that already has over 100,000 miles on its odometer. It’s also worth noting that the top speed achieved by this 812 Superfast was actually higher than Ferrari’s claimed top speed of\u00a0 211 mph.<\/p>\n
