The Antique Automobile Club of America, and the Classic Car Club of America, will jointly host a historic \u201cTriple Crown\u201d national meet May 11-13 in Auburn, Indiana. The event marks the first collaboration for the two groups, and will coincide with Auctions America\u2019s Auburn Spring weekend at the Auburn Auction Park.<\/p>\n
Members of either the AACA or the CCCA who own full classic automobiles will be able to have their cars judged the same day and vie for their club\u2019s special awards. This collaborative effort could not have happened without the enlightened cooperation of each club.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope to have as many as 100 classic cars for our members and guests to drool over during the weekend,\u201d stated William \u201cTom\u201d Cox, 2017 AACA National President. \u201cTo be able to join together with our brothers and sisters in CCCA will be special for all of us. This is going to be a great weekend for the collector car hobby.\u201d<\/p>\n
CCCA President Tom Jones noted, \u201cWe are all about history. We collect history. We drive history. At the Auburn AACA\/CCCA event, we will make history.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the weekend participating members will have the opportunity to visit four local automobile museums, as well as the chance to buy one more piece of memorabilia\u2014or even another car if so inclined\u2014at Auctions America\u2019s Auburn Spring sale. Friday May 12 will offer judging schools and seminars, followed by a free evening concert for club members and VIP guests. Saturday is the day of the car show and judging, culminating with a Midwest barbeque awards presentation.<\/p>\n
A Spring tradition for collectors and enthusiasts across the country, Auctions America\u2019s Auburn Spring event is the first of the company\u2019s two annual Auburn sales. The weekend will feature a 500-car auction, as well as an onsite swap meet and car corral.
