The Lamborghini Diablo<\/a> was the successor to the quintessential poster car, the Countach<\/a>. Lamborghini followed the same blueprint as the Countach when they designed the Diablo. It has the same big mid-mounted V12 engine with rear wheel drive. Although it overall look remained similar to its predecessor, the Lamborghini Diablo was definitely a striking car on its own right.<\/p>\n

1990 Lamborghini Diablo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Diablo was officially launched in January 1990 and would go on to become one of the most iconic supercars of the 1990s, establishing its status alongside the McLaren F1<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Ferrari F355<\/a>. Featuring the same V12 engine that was seen from the Countach, the Diablo had a maximum output of 499 PS (367 kW; 492 hp) and 580 N\u00b7m (428 lb\u00b7ft) of torque. The vehicle could reach 100 km\/h (62 mph) in about 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 202 mph (325 km\/h).<\/p>\n
