{"id":4498,"date":"2014-09-21T05:20:53","date_gmt":"2014-09-21T05:20:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=4498"},"modified":"2024-12-04T23:58:02","modified_gmt":"2024-12-04T23:58:02","slug":"2014-lone-star-le-mans-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/2014-lone-star-le-mans-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"2014 Lone Star Le Mans Weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"copy-paste-block\">\n<h1>2014 Lone Star Le Mans Weekend<\/h1>\n<p>Texas payed host to the world&#8217;s endurance racing teams this weekend at the Circuit of the Americas including separate races for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/gallery\/119513\/3177\/1.html\">FIA World Endurance Championship<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/gallery\/119513\/3177\/2.html\">TUDOR United SportsCar Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Audi, Porsche and Toyota each brought out their Le-Mans contending teams for the 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas which was the 4th round of the World Endurance Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Many teams were caught in an immediate Austin rain chaos rain that halted the race for a considerable time and caught the leading Toyota off guard. Eventually the steady fast #1 and #2 Audis placed first and second with the #2 R18 of Marcel F\u00e4ssler, Andr\u00e9 Lotterer and Beno\u00eet Tr\u00e9luyer taking first overall.<\/p>\n<p>The slightly less contested TUDOR Championship pitted the privateer Riley Daytona Prototypes against the Corvette DPs which resulted in Scott Pruett and Joel Miller taking first overall.<\/p>\n<p>Our galleries of both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/gallery\/119513\/3177\/1.html\">the WEC<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/gallery\/119513\/3177\/2.html\">IMSA TUDOR<\/a> races feature many of the best cars from each series.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2014 Lone Star Le Mans Weekend Texas payed host to the world&#8217;s endurance racing teams this weekend at the Circuit of the Americas including separate races for the FIA World Endurance Championship and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
