{"id":45321,"date":"2009-09-01T19:00:49","date_gmt":"2009-09-02T02:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=45321"},"modified":"2024-12-27T03:07:08","modified_gmt":"2024-12-27T03:07:08","slug":"three-for-the-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/three-for-the-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Three for the Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='memberful-global-teaser-content'>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once upon a time it was not unusual to find American constructors on Grand Prix entry lists&#8230;<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With February\u2019s announcement of a new American constructor preparing to contest the Formula One World Championship in 2010 and subsequently landing a spot on the official FIA entry list, came a resurgence of American interest in the self-proclaimed \u201cpinnacle of motorsport.\u201d All that depends, of course, on whether or not there is an F1 series next year, but in our modern world of instant gratification and short attention spans it can be easy to forget that 35 years ago there were three American outfits on the F1 grid.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The overwhelming majority of the teams then may have been British, but with three marques flying the Stars and Stripes, the USA ranked a distant second.
