Renowned comedian Jay Leno’s<\/a> passion for McLaren is well-known. With ownership of a black F1 valued at over $20 million and being among the first to receive a P1 almost ten years ago, he recently had the unique opportunity to drive a one-of-a-kind McLaren Speedtail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dubbed “Albert,” this particular Speedtail prototype was a special reward to the McLaren dealership in Beverly Hills for achieving outstanding sales. While it shares the production specifications, its striking livery pays tribute to McLaren’s illustrious history.<\/p>\n

Featuring a captivating combination of Ueno Gray at the front and Magnesium Silver at the rear, the livery is reminiscent of the colors used on iconic McLaren models. Magnesium Silver adorned the McLaren F1 during its debut at the 1992 Monaco Grand Prix and graced the covers of various car magazines. Ueno Gray, on the other hand, commemorates the victory of the Ueno-sponsored F1 GTR at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. The lines connecting the two shades not only create an eye-catching design but also optimize airflow, emphasizing the car’s exceptional aerodynamics.<\/p>\n

The meticulous paint job, which took McLaren Special Operations (MSO) 12 weeks to complete, showcases exposed carbon fiber airflow lines adorned with individual pinstripes, adding to the car’s distinctiveness.<\/p>\n

The Speedtail featured in the video shares the same interior package and tech features as the production-spec versions. Additionally, it boasts a special badge behind the headrests, signifying its uniqueness compared to other Speedtail units.<\/p>\n

Under the hood, the McLaren Speedtail<\/a> boasts a 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a parallel hybrid system, producing an astonishing 1,036 horsepower and 848 lb-ft of torque, surpassing the power figures of the McLaren P1. With a weight of 3,500 lbs, the Speedtail can sprint from zero to 62 mph in an incredible three seconds and boasts a claimed top speed of 250 mph.<\/p>\n
