The carmaker first dabbled into hybrid setups<\/a> with the LaFerrari flagship. Then there was a 6-year hiatus before the SF90 Stradale debuted in 2019. The open-top variant, the SF90 Spider<\/a>, followed in 2020.

With the SF90 supercar, Ferrari leveraged cutting-edge technology to create a class-leading hybrid monster. At the heart of the car was a pairing made up of a twin-turbocharged V8 and a bank of three electric motors. On its own, the V8 unit makes a thumping 769 hp, enough for most supercars. The electric motors add an additional 217 hp, leading to a combined output of 986 hp, about 40 hp more than the LaFerrari. That power is fed to all four wheels via a crisp 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ferrari SF90 Spider is blindingly fast, one of the quickest performance cars on the market today. Top speed is officially rated at 211 mph, but the SF90 Spider’s party trick lies in its time-warping acceleration. 0 to 60 mph is knocked off in a scant 2.5 seconds, and 4.5 seconds later, the SF90 Spider is already at 124 mph (200km\/h). It will also complete the quarter-mile run in 10.1 seconds at a blistering 148 mph. These numbers were the exclusive preserve of glorified hypercars only a few years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n
