While this latest trim doesn&#8217;t captain the roster of quintessential SUVs based on price\u2014that spot is still occupied by 631 hp <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stuttcars.com\/porsche-cayenne-turbo-gt-2022-present\/\"><em>Cayenne Turbo GT<\/em><\/a>\u2014it will provide more mainstream appeal in an evolving electrification landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the aforementioned GT-derived hauler, the new Turbo E-Hybrid is also available in the traditional SUV body style, while the former is exclusively produced in coup\u00e9 format. This alliance allows the <strong>plug-in hybrid<\/strong> power unit to produce a total of <strong>729 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque<\/strong>, enabling the 2.5-tonne SUV to rocket from<strong> 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds<\/strong> on its way to a <strong>top speed of 183 mph<\/strong>. That also makes it the most powerful Cayenne ever produced. Porsche claims that up to 50 miles of range is possible if the SUV is driven by the electric motor alone.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re more likely to see the target demographic of E-Hybrid customers using all that performance potential for activities like towing, while daredevil types will look to the GT to provide more extreme thrills. But for those who want the best of both worlds, a <strong>GT Package<\/strong> is available, which adds wider wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, aerodynamic elements and a titanium exhaust system straight from (you guessed it) the Cayenne Turbo GT. However, the package is exclusive to coup\u00e9 versions and is for select markets only.<\/p>\n<p>Even sans the GT add-ons, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is still a pretty mean machine, with features such as adaptive air suspension, sport seats, rear-wheel steering, and PDCC, being standard or optional on the new SUV. Furthermore, an <strong>11 kW on-board charger<\/strong> helps to expedite the charging process for this high-performance PHEV.<\/p>\n<p>The Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid can be ordered now and they will arrive as 2024 models early next year. In traditional body styling, the Turbo E-Hybrid has a base <strong>MSRP of $146,900<\/strong> while those who opt for the coup\u00e9 version will be subject to its slightly higher base <strong>MSRP of $151,400<\/strong>.
