On May 1st, 68 exotic racing and touring cars took part in the California Mille \u2013 a 4-day, 1119-mile rally across some of the most scenic roads in Northern California. Mille organizers were blessed with not only great weather, but also with surprisingly few mechanical problems.<\/p>\n

Some of the many historic machines included several prewar Alfas, Bugattis, two Ferrari Testa Rossas, a Cunningham coupe and a collection of Jaguar D-Types, SS100s and XKs.<\/p>\n

The weekend\u2019s guest of honor was Italian racer Gino Munaron. Munaron kept the evening dinners entertaining with numerous stories of his days racing sports cars for Ferrari in the \u201950s.<\/p>\n
