SVRA has announced the creation of a new endurance race series to run in conjunction with its prestigious Paine Webber endurance races. The new race series, to be called the \u201cTom Yeager Sports Racer Challenge presented by Chicago-Soft\u201d will feature under-1600 cc sports racers built between 1960 and 1967. The series will start in Sebring, Florida, on March 13 and will continue with events at Road America, Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen and Virginia International.<\/p>\n
According to the race\u2019s namesake, Tom Yeager, \u201cWe are really excited about this. We are getting a lot of good response from competitors all over the U.S. and Canada. In addition to noted racers like Gil Nickel, we\u2019ve also received confirmations from a number of Merlyn, Elva, Bobsy and Lotus 23 owners that they will be joining us, as well.
