Although there was nothing subtle about Farina\u2019s aggressive driving style, many aspiring newcomers emulated his way with a car. Rather than seating himself with the steering wheel buried in his chest, Nino prefered sitting as far back from the wheel as the cockpit would permit. This straight-armed driving position was rather stylish and at the same time required a great deal of physical power, because of the hefty cars that he drove. Here, Nino is seen powering the Alfa Romeo Alfetta 159 on to the 1950 World Championship.
