On May 7th, H&H auctions held its first London-based sale at Olympia. Of particular interest was a trio of Brabhams \u2013 two single-seaters and one sports car on offer. The most important of these was a BT4 chassis 3-62 originally campaigned in Australia by Bib Stillwell, winning the 1963 and 1964 Australian Gold Star championships. It sold for \u00a3100,000. The second attraction was one of the 12 BT8 sports cars built. Very rarely seen today, this one was chassis 2-65 that was originally owned by Bill Kay in the U.S. and driven by the late Peter Revson. At one time, it was crashed and some parts from chassis 1-65 were incorporated in the rebuild. Having recently shown itself well by finishing 2nd in the 2001 British GP historic support race, chassis 2-65 changed hands at H&H for \u00a395,000. The third car, BT23B chassis 2, failed to sell.<\/p>\n

Also on offer were a Kitchiner K3A F5000 car and a 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ which was snapped up for \u00a338,000.<\/p>\n
