Former Ligier and Williams Formula One driver Jacques Laffite joined forces with the Morgan car company to race a Morgan Aero 8 GT at this year\u2019s 24 Hours of Spa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The French racing star, who scored six wins and ten 2nd place finishes during his 1974\u20131986 Formula One career, joined co-drivers Neil Cunningham and Paula Cook behind the wheel for the Belgian endurance classic, only to have their efforts cut short by a shunt in pouring rain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Undaunted, the team is continuing to work towards competing in next year\u2019s 24 Hours of Le Mans. According to Morgan managing director Charles Morgan, \u201cWe are really honored to have Jacques Laffite behind the wheel of a Morgan.
