The Charlie Gibson Cup will become an annual award presented to the winner of the Formula 70 race.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_718675\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-718675\" style=\"width: 214px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2005\/04\/n8-200504-p1-214x300-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-718675 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2005\/04\/n8-200504-p1-214x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2005\/04\/n8-200504-p1-214x300-1.jpg 214w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2005\/04\/n8-200504-p1-214x300-1-71x100.jpg 71w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 214px) 100vw, 214px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-718675\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Charlie Gibson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCharlie raced these cars back in the day, and was a major supporter of their acceptance into the vintage world\u201d said Vandagriff. \u201cCharlie\u2019s sprit and enthusiasm were legendary; we are honored to create this award in his name.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCharlie Gibson was the most enthusiastic, honest and hard-working person I ever met in motor racing. He is a great loss to motorsport, his friends and family.
