There have been many Porsche 962s\u2014well over 100 examples in fact\u2014not including non\u2013factory built \u201cspecials.\u201d This is the story of the fastest one ever raced. And it wasn\u2019t in Europe\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chassis number 962.108 was delivered, when brand new in December 1985 to Jim Busby Racing, based out of Laguna Beach, California, for use in the GTP class of IMSA racing, the famous IMSA Camel GT Championship. She was one of several 962s that Jim Busby Racing purchased on behalf of its sponsor, B.F. Goodrich Tires.
