In the early 1980s, Andrea de Cesaris was taking journalists around Silverstone in a turbocharged Group C Lancia, asking if you wanted a \u201cmedium or fast\u201d journey. I chose fast and as a result we lapped just outside the circuit record\u2026with a passenger!<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, long-time sports car racer and dental surgeon (!) Siggi Brunn phoned to say he would have his Porsche 908\/3 at the private circuit of Pierre Bardinon in central France, not far from Clermont Ferrand. We had been discussing a test of the car for a year. The telephone call was on Tuesday and on Thursday, photographer Peter Collins and I were in France, and on Friday Siggi took me out \u201cfor a little ride.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
