The Donington Grand Prix Collection put their first works Renault Formula 1 car on show during the \u201cWorld Series by Renault\u201d meeting at the Donington Park circuit in early September.<\/p>\n
The 1984 Renault RE50 Turbo Grand Prix car, as driven by Patrick Tambay and Derek Warwick, was handed over to circuit and Collection owner Tom Wheatcroft by Renault UK Managing Director Philippe Talou-Derible, on behalf of the Renault Collection Paris, during a glittering celebration party which was held at the Donington Grand Prix Collection.<\/p>\n
The Donington Grand Prix Collection is the world\u2019s largest collection of Grand Prix racing cars, and amongst its exhibits are the Renault-engined championship-winning Williams cars of Nigel Mansell (1992), Damon Hill (1996), and Jacques Villeneuve (1997), but the RE50 is the first ever true works car from the Renault team.<\/p>\n
