{"id":460717,"date":"2006-03-01T03:05:27","date_gmt":"2006-03-01T11:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=76028"},"modified":"2024-01-08T15:06:16","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T15:06:16","slug":"commendatore-lole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/commendatore-lole\/","title":{"rendered":"Commendatore Lole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carlos Reutemann, 63, winner of 12 Grands Prix\u2014five of them with Ferrari from 1976 to 1978\u2014has been made a Commendatore in the New Year Honors list of Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. \u201cLole,\u201d as he was known, now holds the same rank as his late \u201970s employer at Maranello, Commendatore Enzo Ferrari.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reutemann competed in Formula One from 1972 to 1982 and lost the 1981 Formula One World Championship to Nelson Piquet by just one point\u2014the Brazilian taking the title with 50 points to Lole\u2019s 49.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When he hung up his helmet, Reutemann became an Argentinean politician and served two terms as the governor of Santa Fe province, his birthplace.
