I\u2019ve been asked to write a description of how to drive through a corner. Not any corner, a corner of my choice. Wow! There are so many to choose from. I could write about the corkscrew at Laguna Seca, Turn Two at Sears Point; the Festival turns at Portland, Turn One at Mosport, or Tremblant or a dozen of others. But I choose to write about one of the trickiest corner combos in North America. The Oak Tree turns at VIR.<\/p>\n

I say turns because it is a two-corner combo. Turns 11 and 12, first part of Oak Tree, second part of Oak Tree, call them what you want, but they are two of the most difficult corners to get right. Just ask Jason Holehouse, Jim Pace, or myself for that matter. One thing for sure, it is the most important corner on the famed VIR racetrack.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
