A bronze statue was unveiled in July at the Mallory Park circuit in Leicestershire, England as a tribute to the long and active career of Sir Stirling Moss. Moss and Lady Susie, as well as members of their family, were present as an array of motorsports personalities paid tribute to Moss\u2019s contribution to motorsport over a very long period. BBC commentator Raymond Baxter gave a rousing and irreverent speech, as did Tim Parnell and John Surtees. Sir Stirling was unable to resist joining in before several hundred people adjourned for lunch. A selection of Moss-related cars was on display, and the life size statue now joins similar tributes to Jim Clark and John Surtees at Mallory Park. A question and answer period followed and Moss and Surtees were at their usual and forthright best in giving their views of racing past and present.<\/p>\n
