{"id":460968,"date":"2006-12-01T03:05:57","date_gmt":"2006-12-01T11:05:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=68495"},"modified":"2023-12-31T04:28:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-31T04:28:00","slug":"the-2007-international-historic-motorsport-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/the-2007-international-historic-motorsport-show\/","title":{"rendered":"International Historic Motorsport Show (2006)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Europe\u2019s premier winter show for historic motorsport is back, at the same venue\u2014Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry\u2014but with a new date March 23-25, 2007 and a new name \u201cRace Retro.\u201d The new date, a full month later than previous shows, offers the promise of better weather and longer daylight hours for more outdoor activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Race Retro, the 4th International Historic Motorsport Show, will combine live action events with over 450 exhibitors and feature displays in the venue\u2019s four main halls\u2014 capturing the thrills and nostalgia of over 70 years of racing, rallying and motorcycles in a classic motorsport festival weekend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now in its fourth year, this show is now recognized throughout the international historic racing community as being one of the very best shows for the competitor, enthusiast and an excellent day out for families to experience a breathtaking collection of cars, bikes and celebrities from the 1930s to the 1990s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As in previous years, this year\u2019s event promises much to entertain the expected 20,000 visitors. Outdoors, there will be an active rally stage and kart racing in the park; indoor activities will include live autotests, plus a classic motorcycle trial, complete with mud and rocks!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All motorsport disciplines will be represented, on two and four wheels\u2014track racing, speed events, rallies, hillclimbs, trials and autograss will all be included.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Historic and classic event organizers from across Europe will be supported by engineering, car preparation and accessory companies, displaying the best examples of cars and bikes available. There will be a major auction on site, along with the annual Historic Motorsport Awards, while private car sales are catered for, along with artists, memorabilia, booksellers, models and a motorsport autojumble.
