Like many other carmakers, Ferrari is transitioning from making purely ICE vehicles. The 812 GTS is Ferrari’s final naturally aspirated, front-engined V12 grand tourer. The Prancing Horse outfit only made 500 units. This beautifully specced example, <\/span>listed for sale by RM Sotheby’s<\/span><\/a>, is, therefore, a unique opportunity to get in on a slice of Ferrari’s rich V12 heritage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Interior<\/a><\/p>\n

The Ferrari 812 GTS<\/a> was first unveiled in September 2019. As the open-top version of the 812 Superfast<\/a>, the convertible offered unrestricted access to the symphony of the massive V12 engine. Arguably one of the best Ferrari’s modern engines, the 6.5-litre naturally aspirated unit cranks out an impressive 789 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. All that power is fed to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Getting off the line can be tricky in a powerful rear-wheel drive supercar like the 812 GTS. However, get it right, and you can expect a 0 – 60 mph sprint in just 2.8 seconds. The quarter-mile marker is knocked off in 10.4 seconds at a blistering 138 mph. These numbers, together with a 211 mph top speed, place the 812 GTS at the top of its performance class.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 812 GTS listed by renowned auction house RM Sotheby’s was delivered in December 2020 and has been in single ownership since then. It is finished on the exterior with a Blu Tour de France coat, providing a rich contrast to the Cuoio leather interior. The GTS rides on 20-inch dark forged wheels, an option that highlights the body-painted brake callipers. The painted Scuderia shields are another tasteful option that improves the car’s overall exterior appearance.<\/span><\/p>\n

The optional add-ons continue on the interior. They include Driver Zone with steering wheel LEDs and carbon fibre on the interior central bridge and door handles. Ferrari’s famous logo, the\u00a0<\/span>Cavallino Rampante,\u00a0<\/span><\/em>on the headrests have been stitched in blue to match the paintwork. The contrasting Sabia stripe on the seats and dashboard adds another touch of subtle elegance to the well-laid cabin.<\/span><\/p>\n

This Ferrari 812 GTS was optioned with an eye on improving the driving experience. It gets ‘nice-to-haves’ like Apple CarPlay, passenger display, adaptive headlights, suspension lifter and fully electric seats, arguably more comfortable over long trips than racing seats.<\/span><\/p>\n

The odometer reads 1,900 miles (3,058 km); a decent proportion of that was added during the owner’s participation in the 2023 Ferrari Cavalcade. The car has an asking price of $423,230 (GBP 345,000). Interested parties can also submit an offer.<\/span><\/p>\n
