If you are a fan of the aggressive styling on the Pagani Huayra R but can’t stand the fact that is a track-only car, you might just have found what you are looking for, the brand-new Pagani Imola Roadster, an open-top, street-legal version of the Pagani Huayra that shows some serious design influences from the Huayra R, but you’ll have to be quick as just eight units will be built of the Pagani Imola Roadster.<\/p>\n

Lorenzo Kerkoc \u2013 Head of Pagani Grandi Complicazioni, states: “Initially, we wanted to create an open-top twin of the Imola Coup\u00e9, the vehicle introduced in 2020 which paid homage to the legendary racetrack. Then we took another approach: we combined the Huayra Roadster BC\u2019s sophisticated technology with the design and aerodynamic principles of the Huayra R track car. The result is the much more advanced and complex Imola Roadster”<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The more powerful you make your engine, the more cooling it will need, hence the design team at Pagani has to modify the aerodynamics of the airflow around the new Imola Roadster to get additional air onto the radiators, hence the front air intakes are larger while the air vent for hot air is inside the wheel arch, coupled to another vent on the side of the massively low front bumper, bespoke to the Imola Roadster. But you have to admit that probably the most impressive air intake is that ‘snorkel’ rising between the two seats that flows into a vertical fin towards the massive rear wing. A redesign of the area around the taillights was also required and extra air vents were added to the wheel arches, also note a very intimidating rear lower diffuser to match the aggressive styling of the rear wing, all required to increase downforce.<\/p>\n

The redesign of the Pagani Imola Roadster had one major goal right from the start, reach a total of 600 kg of downforce at 280 km\/h (1,322.77 lft at 173.98 mph), and get this, the Imola Roadster is capable of a 2.0 g acceleration on a continuous drive, while peaks of 2.2 g are possible, together with a longitudinal deceleration of 2.2 g, this was possible thanks to a chassis made from Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62, which is firmer than ever and keeps the overall weight down to just 1,260 kg (2,776.67 lb), and Pagani even managed to shed 5 kg of weight by using this special Acquarello Light innovative paint system.<\/p>\n

Power output in the Pagani Imola Roadster sits at 850 hp and 1,100 nm of torque from the 5,980cc Pagani V12 engine that has been created exclusively for this model by Mercedes-Benz AMG, the Xtrac seven-speed sequential gearbox helps to put down all that power onto the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires on Avional forged APP wheels, tire sizes are 265\/30 R20 at the front and 355\/25 R21 at the rear respectively, and let’s not forget that amazing six-pipe exhaust system on this Pagani, a true work of art to look at, and a symphony to hear.<\/p>\n

The Pagani Imola Roadster is a custom model from their Grandi Complicazioni division, and this means the car will be produced in minimal quantities, some cars from this division are true one-off models, in the world of Haute Horlogerie, these are called Grand Complications, and Pagani Automobili borrows this name for the division dedicated to special projects: these are vehicles produced in ultra-limited series, featuring technologies so complex that only a few master artisans are able to bring them to completion, offering an infinite range of customizations: colors, finishes, materials, and shapes are designed in total synergy between clients and artisans, in order to fulfill every desire and create a completely bespoke object.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
