This latest creation from the Italian luxury brand stems from the creative and engineering partnership between the Centro Stile and the Maserati engineering team; it reflects the desire to create a racing car capable of passing on the legacy of the glorious Maserati MC12 in the world of competition, to inspire the Trident\u2019s future racing production.<\/p>\n

Limited to just 62 examples, the MCXtrema is based on the Maserati MC20<\/a>, specifically the MC20 GT2. It inherits numerous components from this racing variant but sheds over 250 kg by utilizing extensive carbon fiber and eliminating unnecessary elements, weighing in at just 1,250 kg.<\/p>\n

Power comes from a potent 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine enhanced with two new turbochargers, boosting power output to 740hp. This formidable power is channeled to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential manual transmission coupled with a mechanical limited-slip differential.<\/p>\n
