The AMG Black Series<\/a> is the crown jewel of the iconic “Gullwing” Mercedes-Benz SLS. Using the already formidable AMG-tuned SLS as a foundation, the Black Series pushes the boundaries of performance through a potent combination of increased power and aggressive weight reduction.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The heart of the beast is a tuned-up 6.2L V8 engine, now boasting 622 horsepower. To handle this extra muscle, the internals have been significantly bolstered with wider main bearings and ultra-strong connecting rod bolts. It is also lighter thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber in the hood, rear underbody panels, torque tube, driveshaft, and rear spoiler.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was a milestone \u2013 the first complete car solely designed, developed, and built by AMG. Its racing heritage shines through with features like the electronically controlled limited-slip differential, carbon-ceramic disc brakes, performance suspension, titanium exhaust, and exclusive wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires \u2013 all hallmarks of a true track-focused machine.<\/p>\n
