In a recent episode of Jay Leno’s Garage<\/a>, the legendary automotive enthusiast and comedian took a closer look at the Gordon Murray T.50<\/a>, a spiritual successor to the iconic McLaren F1<\/a>. Joined by four-time IndyCar champion Dario Franchitti, Leno explored the T.50’s remarkable features and performance.<\/p>\n

Designed by Gordon Murray, the creator of the F1, the T.50 is a lightweight, high-performance sports car that prioritizes driving experience over raw power. It boasts a 675-horsepower Cosworth V12 engine that revs up to 12,100 RPM, coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.<\/p>\n

One of the T.50’s most distinctive features is its rear-mounted fan, which enhances aerodynamic performance and provides additional downforce. This innovative technology, similar to that used in Formula 1 cars, helps the T50 achieve exceptional cornering speed and stability.<\/p>\n

Leno was particularly impressed by the T.50’s handling and responsiveness. He described the car as “a joy to drive,” praising its precise steering, balanced chassis, and engaging driving dynamics. The T.50 is a limited-production model, with only 100 units being built.<\/p>\n
