The Sabre<\/a>, a supercar inspired by the McLaren Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo\u2014a virtual concept designed for Gran Turismo Sport<\/em>\u2014features a striking design that aligns with its sword-inspired name. Its aggressive styling includes blade-like fender extensions, fully skirted doors, and a sleek side profile that sweeps upward, ending in upright LED taillights, a full-width rear wing, and air diffusers.<\/p>\n\n

Sharing the carbon fiber monocoque structure with the Senna<\/a>, the Sabre also incorporates McLaren\u2019s iconic upward-swinging doors and clamshell-style front and rear hatches, reminiscent of endurance race cars. Powered by a tuned version of the Senna’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the Sabre delivers 824 horsepower, compared to the Senna’s 790 HP, and is designed to be more aerodynamically efficient.<\/p>\n\n

Despite its formidable power, the Sabre is intended as a road car with excellent track capability, offering a more comfortable ride without compromising performance. It reaches an impressive top speed of 218 mph, surpassing the Senna by 1 mph. True to McLaren Special Operations’ exclusivity, the Sabre is an ultra-rare vehicle, with only 15 examples produced worldwide.<\/p>\n\n
