\"\"<\/a>The 8th annual Russo and Steele “Monterey Sports and Muscle at the Marriott” automobile auction will be held August 14th \u2013 16th in downtown Monterey at the Marriott Hotel.<\/p>\n

Russo and Steele will start the weekend early on Thursday, August 14th with an automobile preview cocktail reception and silent auction benefiting HeRO. The automobile and memorabilia auction then takes center stage on Friday and Saturday evenings, with approximately 150 of the finest European sports cars, American muscle cars, hot rods and customs crossing the block.<\/p>\n

Notable consignments to date include a Ferrari Daytona Coupe and Spider, a 1965 Bentley SSSC Club Racer, plus a fantastic Lamborghini Miura SVJ.<\/p>\n

The ultimate evolution of the Lamborghini Miura SV was expressed in the production of the SVJ or Jota. Built by Lamborghini as a prototypical car with the Jota modifications, this is the only one that has factory validation confirming it as a works SVJ. Only six SVJ’s were built during the production of the Miura and can rightly be called “factory SVJs.”<\/p>\n

Extensive documentation supports the provenance of this significant sports car, including factory correspondence to the original owner signed by Ubaldo Sgarzi and additional verification letters from Claudio Zampolli and Bob Wallace. Fully detailed in the Lamborghini Registry and currently nearing full restoration completion by marquee specialist Gary Bobileff, this will indeed present the ultimate opportunity to garner the most coveted of the Miura lineage.<\/p>\n
