To help celebrate Porsche’s 60th birthday, organizers of the 2008 Porsche Parade decided to expand the traditional small museum display support event for normal Porsche Parades with an expanded tribute to both Porsche street and racing cars of the last 60 years. The result, called the Heritage (street cars) & Historic (race cars), featured exceptional street models and race-winning Porsches representing six decades.<\/p>\n
In addition, event sponsor Hendrick Porsche of Charlotte displayed the current Porsche offerings, and Porsche Cars NA & Porsche AG had special exhibits and presentations as well, highlighted by a Norbert Singer presentation on the epic 911 RSR Turbo.<\/p>\n
