As winter arrives in the Northern Hemisphere, the reverse occurs south of the equator with summer coming on and bringing with it the height of racing season. This site focuses on racing and photographs of it from Australia and New Zealand, with each country having a separate \u201chome\u201d section on the site, along with several other categories including Car Profiles, Driver Profiles, and a Reading Room.<\/p>\n

One of the site\u2019s stated purposes is to serve as an activist dedicated to preserving and, in some cases, restoring and enhancing old photos. A great archive of Antipodean racing history is presented in the form of these annotated images, with many seemingly arcane facts ready for general consumption at the discretion of the user.<\/p>\n

A further link will take you to \u201cPlay Film,\u201d but while these moving images may have once been that, they are now, of course, known as video clips. Also available is a search\/chat feature called Contact and Links for those seeking specific people or information from the past.
