The event is being presented as a West Coast opportunity to celebrate the popular Volkswagen-powered class in the wake of a similar affair held on the 45th anniversary, last April, at Roebling Road near Savannah, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Preliminary plans call for a 25-minute practice and qualifying session on Saturday morning with a similar-length sprint race that afternoon to determine grid spots for Sunday afternoon\u2019s feature event. Another 25-minute practice will go Sunday morning. Some thought is also being given to having a \u201cVee Concours.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The race meeting is being organized by the San Francisco Region, meaning the entry process will be handled through their Web site.
