{"id":490531,"date":"2009-03-01T03:03:30","date_gmt":"2009-03-01T11:03:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=48017"},"modified":"2023-12-20T16:28:25","modified_gmt":"2023-12-20T16:28:25","slug":"american-f5000-series-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/american-f5000-series-2009\/","title":{"rendered":"Formula 5000 Revival (2009) &#8211; American F5000 Series for 2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Building on the success of the 40th anniversary races in 2008, the Formula 5000 Drivers Association has announced an expanded race program for 2009 consisting of four events at tracks across the United States.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first of these will run May 16-17 at Thunderhill Raceway in Northern California (with CSRG), and be followed by a June 25-28 outing at Mid-Ohio (with SVRA); the Kohler International Challenge with Brian Redman at Road America on July 16-19; and a Sept. 11-13 stop at Watkins Glen International (with SVRA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Formula 5000 Drivers Association president Seb Coppola said, \u201cThe response we had to the 40th anniversary races in 2008 was phenomenal. We were encouraged by our members and other participants to build on our achievements and continue our racing activities.
