The collection, including automobilia, fetched \u00a3300,000 with the Ex-Jenson Button 2006 Honda RA106 Single-Seater matching the success of its former driver to take first place as the top lot in the sale, achieving \u00a346,600 \u2013 in excess of the estimated price of \u00a325,000-30,000.<\/p>\n<p>The sale also featured an exceptional collection of over 25 vehicles from the Jaguar Heritage Trust, which fetched \u00a3261,000. Of these, highlights include the aesthetically unusual Bass Bottle \u2013 a 1921 Daimler TL30 Van \u2013 which reached \u00a315,755 (estimated price \u00a37,000-10,000). Other cars from the collection attracted tremendous interest with several lots reaching up to six times their pre-sale estimate. The 1931 Austin Seven Swallow Saloon sold for \u00a321,275 (estimation \u00a35,000-7,000), whilst the 1996 Daimler Century Saloon achieved \u00a320,700 (estimation \u00a34,000-6,000) and the 1993 Jaguar XJ12 Sovereign Series III Saloon raised \u00a318,400 (estimation \u00a33,000-5,000).<\/p>\n<p>James Knight, Group Head of Bonhams Motoring Department said, \u201cBonhams is delighted to have been entrusted to handle the sale of collections from both Brawn GP and Jaguar Heritage. These organisations are similarly pleased with the 100% sale rate for their respective lots. The Silverstone Classic completes a hat trick of successful sales held by Bonhams Motoring Department across weekends in July, which have raised a total of over \u00a35 million.
