{"id":491006,"date":"2009-11-01T04:00:21","date_gmt":"2009-11-01T04:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=44220"},"modified":"2023-12-31T20:23:05","modified_gmt":"2023-12-31T20:23:05","slug":"the-wayback-machine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/the-wayback-machine\/","title":{"rendered":"The Wayback Machine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While we don\u2019t necessarily want to become a facilitator for YouTube, even if the company does appear to be investing in the sport with its support of the new USF1 team, it\u2019s hard to resist pointing out that a nice trilogy of clips from the 1957 running of the 12 Hours of Sebring, in this instance for the Amoco Trophy, is no more than three clicks away.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Part 1 begins in the home\u2014well, the garage\u2014of a typical 1950s American family, that of David and Mary Ash, where David has an MGA\u2008in the garage and discovers that this endurance race is going to be run in Florida and why doesn\u2019t he take Mary and go play with his toy?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What follows is an excellent full-color capsulization of the events taking place that spring weekend, with admirably coherent narration and at least cameo appearances by most of the expected stars of the show.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the big old planes standing silent guard on the taxiways to the calm frenzy of a mid-race pit stop to the bustle of the winner\u2019s circle, it\u2019s all there.
