In the event of a fire, the cost of replacing the books would be more than the cost of rebuilding my house, as an insurance agent pointed out when refusing me cover. They would not insure my house; they would be insuring my books.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It\u2019s not as though I am a serious collector; I don\u2019t hunt down first editions; but motor racing books bought fifty years ago, when the sport was a minority, have become more desirable.
