Although he earned his spurs as a champion driver, Shelby is best known for his creation of the Cobra sports car, and both he and the car enjoyed great success at Riverside.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cObviously we\u2019re very pleased that Mr. Shelby is going to join us for this year\u2019s event,\u201d said Doug Magnon, who, with his father Ray, founded the museum dedicated to the fabled facility. \u201cHis name is synonymous with the great racing that went on at Riverside. We\u2019re all very much looking forward to this special night spending time with this true motor sports icon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to Shelby, a star-studded roster of veteran racers will once again be on hand as invited guests, and more previously unseen racing films will be screened.
