Thousands have raced here in one of America\u2019s more unusual \u201ccult\u201d races\u2014The Longest Day, a 24-hour endurance event for amateur racers of production-based SCCA showroom stocks. The organizers of the\u00a0 \u201c24 Hours of LeMons\u201d also put a race on at Nelson called The Lamest Day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Renegade grassroots racers from all over the country love this place; for me, it was an honor to race (and fortunately win) three times with teams at The Longest Day.
